About the Heym SR21
The Heym SR21 is a German precision bolt-action hunting rifle built by HEYM in Gleichamberg, Thuringia. Its bolt locks with three solid front lugs, reducing bolt lift to 60 degrees and keeping the handle clear of a low-mounted scope. The rifle uses a modular switch-barrel system in which the barrel and receiver are exchanged as a unit, a free-floated hammer-forged barrel, resin-and-aluminium pillar bedding around the recoil lug, a single-set trigger, and a three-position bolt-shroud safety. Chambered here in .308 Winchester, it is offered across a wide range of standard-length hunting calibers.
HEYM was founded in 1865 in Suhl by Friedrich Wilhelm Heym and was renowned for fine combination guns and shotguns; the firm was re-established in 1998 as HEYM Waffenfabrik GmbH and now builds its rifles in Gleichamberg, Thuringia.
