About the Huglu 103C

The Huglu 103C is an over-and-under double-barrel shotgun produced by the Huglu Hunting Firearms Cooperative in Turkey. Part of the 103 series, it is a break-action boxlock hunting gun most commonly chambered in 12 gauge with a 3-inch (76mm) chamber and 28-inch (711mm) chrome-lined monoblock barrels topped by a ventilated rib. The base 103C model uses extractors and a set of interchangeable screw-in mobile chokes, with a Turkish walnut stock and an engraved silver receiver. It is also offered in 20, 28 and .410 gauges.

The Huglu cooperative grew out of gunsmith workshops in the central Anatolian mountain town of Huglu, where firearms have been hand-built since the Ottoman era; the town's craftsmen formally united into a cooperative in 1962 and today export over-and-unders worldwide under Huglu and OEM brands.

The 103 series spans several sub-models: the 103C (extractors) and its engraved-and-ejector sibling 103CE, the case-hardened 103DE, and the sideplate-engraved 103FE. Weights are nominal (approximately 7 lb / 3.2 kg for the 12-gauge) and vary by gauge and barrel length. Sold with a set of five mobile chokes.
