About the Husqvarna Pistol m/07
The Husqvarna Pistol m/07 is the Swedish military service adaptation of the FN Browning Model 1903, a blowback-operated single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered for the 9x20mm Browning Long cartridge. Adopted by Sweden in 1907 and license-produced by Husqvarna Vapenfabrik from 1917, it features a fixed barrel, an internal hammer, a slim concealed slide, a seven-round detachable box magazine, and grip and magazine safeties. It was the standard Swedish sidearm until supplemented by the Lahti-designed Pistol m/40 and remained in service for decades.
Sweden's adoption of the Browning m/07 predated its own license production by a decade, so the first pistols were Belgian FN-made guns; when FN could not keep up with orders, Husqvarna took over and ultimately built more of the design than FN itself.
