About the Marlin 1894 Trapper
The Marlin 1894 Trapper is a compact, modern lever-action carbine in the Ruger-made Model 1894 family, distinguished by a short 16.1-inch threaded barrel, big-loop lever, ghost-ring rear sight, fiber-optic front sight and a Picatinny optics rail. Built on the classic side-ejecting, solid-top Marlin 1894 action with a tubular magazine, the Trapper is offered in 10mm Auto - the first factory lever-action rifle chambered for the cartridge - as well as .44 Remington Magnum and .357 Magnum. It pairs stainless steel construction and a black laminate stock with a matte stainless finish, making it a handy, weatherproof trail and pistol-caliber carbine.
When Ruger relaunched the Marlin 1894 Trapper, it broke new ground by chambering a lever-action rifle in 10mm Auto - the first factory lever gun in the cartridge - turning the classic cowboy carbine into a modern trail and woods gun with a threaded barrel and ghost-ring sights.
