This versatility allows shooters to load any combination of shell lengths simultaneously, providing up to 13+1 capacity with mini shells or 8+1 with standard loads from the 20-inch barrel model. The 590S retains all hallmarks of the 590 family including dual extractors, twin action bars, steel-to-steel lockup, anti-jam elevator, and Mossberg's signature top-tang ambidextrous safety.
