About the Pedersoli Bristlen A Morges
The Pedersoli Bristlen A Morges is a percussion muzzle-loading target rifle reproducing a mid-19th-century Swiss Schuetzen match rifle originally made by gunsmith Marc Bristlen at Morges, Switzerland, between 1839 and 1860. Chambered primarily in .44 caliber (also offered in .35), it has a heavy browned octagonal barrel, an engraved side-lock percussion ignition, an adjustable double-phase set trigger, a vertically and horizontally adjustable Creedmoor rear sight, a walnut half-stock with hooked buttplate and palm-rest knob, and ships with a false muzzle for precise loading. It is built for offhand 50-metre target competition.
The original rifles were built by Marc Bristlen in the lakeside town of Morges on Lake Geneva, and Pedersoli's replica has carried Swiss and international competitors to more than a dozen world championship gold medals and a world record on the 50-metre muzzle-loading firing line.

Offered as the standard S235 (color case hardened lock and fittings) and the deluxe L235 (coin finish with engraving). The .44 has 4 grooves with a 1:26 in (660 mm) twist; the .35 has 8 grooves with a 1:18 in (450 mm) twist. The set trigger can be tuned as light as roughly 60 g.
