About the Pedersoli Tatham & Egg

The Pedersoli Tatham & Egg is a single-shot, muzzle-loading flintlock pistol built by Davide Pedersoli as a reproduction of an English gentleman's target pistol of the early 19th century. Chambered for a .45 caliber patched round ball in its smoothbore form, it features a 255mm browned octagonal barrel, a full walnut stock, case-hardened lock and furniture, an adjustable rear sight, and a single set trigger, making it a favorite for muzzleloading target and sport shooting.

Tatham & Egg were London gunmakers of the Regency era; Joseph Egg was a nephew of the famous inventor Joseph Manton's rival Durs Egg and helped popularize the percussion cap, though this pistol reproduces the firm's earlier flintlock work.
