About the Remington 887 Nitro Mag
The Remington Model 887 Nitro Mag is a pump-action 12 gauge shotgun produced from 2009 to 2015, chambered for shells up to 3.5 inches. Its signature feature is the ArmorLokt construction process, which seals the steel receiver and barrel in an over-molded synthetic polymer coating for weather and corrosion resistance, marketed primarily to waterfowl and turkey hunters.
Remington's ArmorLokt process wraps the entire receiver and barrel in a vault of weather-impervious synthetic armor, making the 887 one of the few pump guns essentially impervious to the rust that plagues duck blinds and salt marshes.
