About the Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan
The Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan is a compact, powerful bolt-action rifle designed for use in harsh Alaskan conditions against dangerous game. It features a stainless steel barreled action with Diamondblack finish, Hogue OverMolded stock, wind-shielded shallow V-notch rear sight, and muzzle brake. The short 20-inch barrel makes it maneuverable in dense brush.
The Alaskan was designed specifically for guides and hunters who need a fast-handling, hard-hitting rifle in tight quarters against brown bears in the dense alder thickets of coastal Alaska.
