About the Ruger Mini Thirty
The Ruger Mini Thirty is a 7.62x39mm variant of the Mini-14, offering the reliable gas-piston operated action in a Soviet intermediate caliber. It uses Ruger's proven fixed-piston gas system and features a cold hammer-forged barrel, integral scope mount base, and Garand-style safety.
The Mini Thirty was introduced to provide an American-made alternative for shooters who wanted to use inexpensive and widely available 7.62x39mm ammunition without relying on AK-pattern rifles.
