About the Sako Finnfire
The Sako Finnfire is a Finnish bolt-action rimfire rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, introduced by Sako in 1996 as the P94S. Built on a scaled rimfire action with two rear locking lugs and a low 50-degree bolt lift, it pairs a cold hammer-forged free-floating barrel with an adjustable single-stage trigger derived from Sako's TRG-S centrefire rifles. Offered in Hunter, Varmint and Range walnut-stocked configurations, the Finnfire earned a strong reputation for accuracy among target shooters and small-game hunters.
Prized in European rimfire target circles, the Finnfire became a benchmark for out-of-the-box .22 LR accuracy, with shooters often loading nine rounds in the ten-shot magazine for the most reliable feeding.
