About the Savage Axis 2 Pro

The Savage Axis 2 Pro is an American bolt-action hunting rifle introduced in late 2024 as the premium tier of Savage's budget-oriented Axis line. It pairs the Axis 2 action with the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, a 20-inch fluted heavy-sporter carbon-steel barrel with a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle, and a Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote finish over the receiver, barrel, and bolt handle. Its injection-molded synthetic stock features a negative-drop comb, ambidextrous palm swells, and a Forest SP camouflage finish, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for optics mounting.

The Axis line launched in 2009 as Savage's answer to affordable entry-level bolt-action hunting rifles; the Axis 2 Pro represents a premium upgrade with Cerakote finishing, a threaded fluted barrel, and the AccuTrigger, blurring the line between budget and mid-tier hunting rifles.
