About the Savage Model 750
The Savage Model 750 is an American long-recoil semi-automatic shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, produced by Savage Arms between 1960 and 1967. Built on the John Browning-patterned long-recoil action used across Savage's 720-series autoloaders, it fed from a tubular magazine and was offered with 26-inch or 28-inch barrels, a blued finish, and a checkered walnut pistol-grip stock. Choke-equipped variants included the 750SC with a Savage Super Choke and the 750AC with a Poly Choke.
Savage's autoloading shotguns descended directly from the John Browning long-recoil action, licensed and produced domestically as an American-made alternative to the Belgian and Remington Auto-5-pattern guns.
