About the Thompson/Center Dimension
The Thompson/Center Dimension is a modular bolt-action rifle introduced in 2012 that lets the shooter change chambering by swapping the barrel, bolt, magazine and magazine well. Ten cartridges from .204 Ruger up to .300 Winchester Magnum are organized into four interchange groups (A, B, C and D), so a single receiver can serve as several different rifles. Each 5R-rifled, chrome-moly barrel is guaranteed by the maker to shoot three shots inside one inch at 100 yards. The rifle uses a machined aluminum receiver, a single-stack polymer three-round detachable magazine, an adjustable single-stage trigger and a synthetic stock with an adjustable length of pull.
Marketed as "one rifle for every hunt," the Dimension aimed to give hunters a single receiver that could be re-barreled from varmint to big-game calibers in a couple of minutes with only the supplied tool.
