The Thompson/Center Venture II is an American bolt-action hunting rifle introduced in 2020 as the successor to the original Venture. It pairs a cylindrical, pillar-bedded action and full-diameter bolt with a free-floated, 5R button-rifled barrel and a factory sub-MOA accuracy guarantee. The Generation II adjustable single-stage trigger, threaded muzzle, and Weather Shield-coated metalwork target value-conscious big-game hunters across a wide range of standard and magnum chamberings.
Thompson/Center built its reputation on single-shot Contender and Encore pistols and rifles before entering the affordable bolt-action market. The Venture II carried that value proposition forward after the brand passed to Smith & Wesson, offering a guaranteed-accuracy hunting rifle at a budget price point.
