About the Tikka M595

The Tikka M595 is a Finnish short-to-standard-action, bolt-action hunting and sporting rifle produced by Tikka (a Sako brand). It uses a forged and milled steel action with a free-floating barrel and a detachable clip magazine, and was chambered for short and standard cartridges such as .223 Remington, .243 Winchester, .308 Winchester and 7mm-08 Remington. Together with the long/magnum-action M695, it formed Tikka's 500/600 series before being replaced by the Tikka T3 in the early 2000s.

When the M595/M695 series was retired, Sako folded its accurate free-floated action and detachable magazine into the Tikka T3, which went on to become one of the best-selling hunting rifles in the world.
