About the Tikka M07
The Tikka M07 is a Finnish break-action combination gun (Bockbüchsflinte) built by Tikkakoski, pairing an upper 12-gauge shotgun barrel over a lower rifled barrel most commonly chambered in .222 Remington. A barrel selector on the receiver directs the single trigger to either the shot or ball barrel, letting a hunter engage small game or feathered targets with the shotgun and take aimed rifle shots at deer or fox from the same gun. Produced in the 1970s and 1980s, some were imported into North America by Ithaca.
As a combination gun, the M07 answers a distinctly European hunting tradition: one gun that can flush a bird with shot and, without a second firearm, drop a fox or roe deer with a precise .222 rifle round a heartbeat later.
