About the Walther LG300

The Walther LG300 is a single-shot, pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) match air rifle chambered in .177 (4.5mm) and designed for 10 metre ISSF Olympic air rifle competition. Built around an aluminium action with a fully adjustable match trigger, recoil absorber, adjustable cheekpiece and buttplate, and precision diopter sights, it delivers around 7.5 joules of energy at roughly 175 m/s. It became one of the most successful target rifles of its era and remained a staple of elite competitive shooting.

Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra won the men's 10 metre air rifle event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics shooting a Walther LG300, India's first individual Olympic gold medal.

The LG300XT refined the original with a grooved recoil absorber and other detail improvements and is generally preferred over the plain LG300. The platform was succeeded by the Walther LG400.
