About the Weihrauch HW80

The Weihrauch HW80 is a powerful spring-piston, break-barrel air rifle introduced in the early 1980s. Built around a large piston and stroke for high power, it is renowned for its hardwood stock, robust steel construction, and the famous adjustable Rekord two-stage trigger. Available in .177, .20, .22, and .25 calibers, it is a benchmark hunting and field-target air rifle. In the United States it was famously marketed by Beeman as the R1.

Air gun authority Robert Beeman worked with Weihrauch to develop a high-powered magnum spring rifle for the American market; the resulting Beeman R1, based on the HW80, became one of the most influential adult air rifles of the 1980s.
