About the Anschutz 8002
The Anschutz 8002 is a single-shot, pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) target rifle chambered in .177 (4.5mm), designed for 10-metre ISSF air rifle competition. Built by the German manufacturer J.G. Anschutz, it pairs a regulated removable air cylinder with a match-grade barrel, a five-way adjustable match trigger, a globe front sight with interchangeable inserts, and an adjustable diopter rear sight. The fully adjustable hardwood stock and aluminium buttpad let shooters tailor the fit for precision standing matches.
Anschutz match air and smallbore rifles are a fixture on the Olympic 10-metre and 50-metre firing lines, where the 8002 serves as a stepping-stone target rifle for junior and developing competitive shooters.
