The Ruger American Patrol Gen II is a compact, versatile bolt-action rifle designed for hunters, primary producers and recreational shooters who demand reliability, accuracy and excellent handling. Featuring Ruger's latest Generation II enhancements, the Patrol model combines a lightweight, manoeuvrable design with modern features, making it equally at home in dense bush, on the farm or at the range. Built around Ruger's proven bolt-action platform, the American Patrol Gen II features a cold hammer forged threaded barrel, durable Cerakote finish, adjustable Ruger Marksman Trigger and an ergonomic Gen II stock with a textured Splatter finish for enhanced grip in all weather conditions. The compact design makes it ideal for carrying over long distances, shooting from vehicles or navigating thick scrub, while the threaded muzzle allows the fitting of a muzzle brake or suppressor (where legally permitted). The rifle is available in .223 Remington, .308 Winchester, .338 ARC, 6mm ARC, .300 Winchester Magnum and 7mm PRC. The .223 Remington, .308 Winchester, .338 ARC and 6mm ARC models feature a compact 16-inch barrel, while the .300 Winchester Magnum and 7mm PRC models are fitted with a 20-inch barrel to maximise ballistic performance from these larger cartridges.
