About the Anschutz 1907
The Anschutz 1907 is a single-shot bolt-action smallbore target rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, built around the company's renowned Match 54 barreled action and 5018 two-stage match trigger. Introduced in 1987 as the successor to the Model 1807, it is one of the most widely used rifles in ISSF 50 metre prone and three-position smallbore competition. It pairs a heavy blued match barrel with a fully adjustable target stock, prioritising lock-time consistency, trigger refinement, and accuracy over weight or portability.
Anschütz's Match 54 action, introduced in the 1950s, displaced the Winchester Model 52 from elite Olympic smallbore competition and made Anschütz the dominant name in ISSF target shooting for the rest of the 20th century. The 1907 carries that lineage forward as a staple of collegiate and Olympic-level small-bore rifle programs.
