About the Benelli Super Black Eagle II

The Benelli Super Black Eagle II is an inertia-driven semi-automatic shotgun introduced in 2004 as the successor to the original Super Black Eagle. Chambered for 12 gauge, it can cycle 2-3/4-inch, 3-inch, and 3-1/2-inch magnum shells interchangeably without adjustment, making it a favorite among waterfowl and turkey hunters. It uses Benelli's recoil-operated Inertia Driven System with only eight parts in the action, paired with the ComforTech recoil-reduction stock and the Crio interchangeable choke system.

The Super Black Eagle line built Benelli's reputation in the North American waterfowl market by being among the first shotguns able to feed and cycle 3-1/2-inch magnum loads through a recoil-operated inertia action, sidestepping the gas-system fouling that plagued heavy-magnum semi-autos of the era.
