About the Chiappa 1886
The Chiappa 1886 is a reproduction of the Winchester Model 1886 lever-action rifle chambered in .45-70 Government. Available in multiple configurations from 18.5" Kodiak to 26" full-length rifle, with color case-hardened or chrome finish options.
John Browning designed the Winchester 1886 as the first lever-action strong enough for big-bore cartridges. Its vertically-sliding locking bolts were revolutionary and it remains one of the strongest lever actions ever made.
