About the Feinwerkbau 602
The Feinwerkbau 602 is a single-stroke pneumatic .177 match air rifle built for ISSF 10 metre air rifle competition. Produced from 1994 to 1997, it refined the recoilless 600-series design with a two-piece compression sleeve, revised sights and an integrated dry-firing system. A single side-lever stroke charges the compression chamber, and the rifle's vibration-damped action delivers the near-recoilless behaviour that made the 600 family a fixture on the international target line. It features an adjustable two-stage match trigger, micrometer diopter aperture sights and a walnut competition stock with adjustable cheekpiece and buttplate.
Feinwerkbau entered gunmaking by accident: barred from metalwork in gun-town Oberndorf under post-WWII French occupation, the firm spent its early years making precision parts before its recoilless match air rifles made it a dominant force in Olympic target shooting.

Part of Feinwerkbau's 600 single-stroke pneumatic series. Despite the recoilless design, some shooters reported a trace of felt movement from the extra muzzle weight, which Feinwerkbau further addressed in the succeeding Model 603.
