About the Franchi Affinity

The Franchi Affinity is a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun introduced in 2012 by the Italian maker Luigi Franchi. It is powered by the Inertia Driven operating system shared with parent company Benelli, a simple and clean-running mechanism that uses the recoil energy of the fired shell to cycle the rotating bolt with very few moving parts. Lightweight at around 3.1 kg thanks to an aluminum-alloy receiver, it chambers 2¾- and 3-inch shells, feeds from a four-round tubular magazine, and ships with a ventilated rib, three interchangeable choke tubes, and a shim kit for adjusting drop and cast. Sold as an affordable, reliable field and waterfowl gun, the original Affinity established the platform that Franchi later expanded into the Affinity 3 and 3.5 lines.

The Affinity brought Benelli's proven Inertia Driven action to a more affordable price point under the Franchi name, both brands belonging to the Beretta Holding group, making inertia-operated reliability accessible to budget-minded hunters and clay shooters.

Franchi Affinity specifications

The Affinity is the base model of Franchi's inertia-operated semi-auto line; the later Affinity 3 (2017) added the Twin Shock Absorber (TSA) recoil pad as standard and refined ergonomics, and the Affinity 3.5 added a 3.5-inch magnum chamber for heavy waterfowl loads.
