About the Glock G34

The Glock G34 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H. since 1998. This Austrian-manufactured firearm reflects the engineering traditions and quality standards of its country of origin, designed to meet the demands of both civilian and professional users in a competitive global marketplace. Featuring a 17-round magazine capacity, this pistol offers generous firepower for duty use and home defense. The striker-fired action provides a consistent trigger pull for every shot, simplifying training and reducing the manual of arms - a design philosophy that has become the dominant paradigm in modern defensive handguns. The 5.3-inch barrel maximizes accuracy potential and ballistic performance, making this an excellent choice for target shooting, competition, or field use. Weighing 665g (23.5 oz) empty, this firearm strikes a practical balance between manageable carry weight and sufficient mass to moderate felt recoil during shooting. The polymer frame construction reduces weight while providing a textured, ergonomic grip surface designed for secure handling in all conditions. This firearm represents its manufacturer's commitment to delivering a well-engineered, reliable product that serves the needs of discerning shooters seeking quality, accuracy, and dependable performance from a proven platform.

The Glock 34 proved that a polymer-framed, striker-fired pistol could compete head-to-head with tuned 1911s and CZ-75s that had dominated action shooting sports for decades. When USPSA introduced the Production division in 2003, the G34 became the division's de facto standard pistol. More USPSA Production division titles have been won with the G34 platform than any other pistol. Its combination of Glock reliability with competition-focused refinements created a pistol that works straight from the box at a price point far below custom race guns.

The G34 Gen5 is available exclusively in MOS configuration, reflecting the near-universal adoption of red dot optics in competition shooting. The Modular Optic System uses interchangeable adapter plates compatible with popular micro red dot sights including Trijicon RMR, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, C-More, and others. The lighter trigger pull (24N vs 28N on standard models) is achieved through a different connector, not a modified trigger mechanism. The G34 dominates USPSA Production and Carry Optics divisions. Its extended slide is 18mm longer than the standard G17, placing it just under USPSA's 8.75-inch overall length limit for Production class.
