The Marlin Golden 39M Mountie is an American lever-action carbine chambered in .22 Long Rifle. A short-barreled, straight-grip variant of the long-running Model 39 series, the 39M pairs Marlin's takedown receiver and Micro-Groove rifling with a handy 20-inch barrel. The 'Golden' designation refers to its gold-plated trigger, and the rifle feeds .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle rimfire cartridges from a tubular magazine.
The Marlin Model 39 lineage traces to the Model 1891 and is often cited as the oldest continuously produced shoulder-fired firearm design in the world. The 39M Mountie carried that heritage into a lighter, carbine-length package favored for small game, plinking, and youth shooting.
