About the Mauser Model 1914
The Mauser Model 1914 is a German blowback-operated, semi-automatic pocket pistol chambered in 7.65mm (.32 ACP). A scaled-up development of the 6.35mm Mauser Model 1910 engineered by Josef Nickl from Paul Mauser's design, it features a fixed barrel, an internal hammer, and a side-mounted manual safety. Aimed primarily at the European police market, where the 7.65mm cartridge had become a standard, large numbers were also issued to the Imperial German Navy and German forces during both World Wars as a sidearm and officer's pistol.
The 7.65mm Mauser pocket pistols were prized as discreet officer and police sidearms; their reliable fixed-barrel blowback action and excellent fit and finish made them sought-after personal-protection pistols across interwar Europe.
