About the Perazzi MX2000

The Perazzi MX2000 is a high-grade Italian over/under competition shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, built for the clay target disciplines of trap, double trap and Olympic trap. Introduced in 2000 as the successor to the long-running MX8 platform, it pairs Perazzi's signature drop-out (removable) trigger group with an adjustable five-notch ventilated rib and adjustable point of impact, allowing shooters to fine-tune the gun's pattern placement. Each gun is hand-fitted with a custom-made walnut stock and beavertail forend, and is offered with fixed or interchangeable chokes across barrel lengths from roughly 30 to 35 inches.

Perazzi shotguns have dominated Olympic and ISSF clay-target shooting since the 1960s, and the MX2000 series carries that pedigree as a favoured tool of world-class trap and double-trap competitors.

Perazzi MX2000 specifications

Sub-variants in the MX2000 line (MX2000/3, MX2000/8, MX2000/10, MX2000S, MX2000/RS) differ mainly in rib type, trigger group and intended discipline. Several use an 'unsingle' single-barrel trap configuration. Barrels are commonly offered in 32, 34 and 35 inch lengths.
