The Remington Model 770 is an American magazine-fed bolt-action rifle introduced in 2007 as a budget-priced hunting rifle and the successor to the Model 710. It uses a solid-steel receiver with a three-lug bolt and a 60-degree bolt throw, feeds from a detachable box magazine, and shipped from the factory with a pre-mounted, boresighted 3-9x40mm scope. Marketed as an affordable alternative to the Model 700, it was offered in popular hunting cartridges including .270 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, and .308 Winchester.

Remington positioned the 770 as an entry-level deer rifle sold ready to hunt with a scope already mounted and zeroed, putting a centerfire bolt gun within reach of first-time buyers at a budget price point.
