About the Remington Model Seven
The Remington Model Seven is a compact, lightweight bolt-action carbine introduced in 1983 and built on Remington's short action. Designed for hunters who needed a handy, fast-handling rifle for brush and timber, it pairs a 20-inch barrel with a four-round internal box magazine and a free-floating barrel for good accuracy in a small package. Chambered over its life in cartridges including .223 Remington, .243 Winchester, 7mm-08 Remington, .260 Remington, and .308 Winchester, the Model Seven has remained a popular choice for big-game and varmint hunting.
The Model Seven was conceived as a smaller, lighter companion to the Remington Model 700, giving hunters a trim carbine that handled quickly in dense cover while retaining the accuracy of its larger sibling.
