About the Remington Model Seven CDL
The Remington Model Seven CDL is a short-action, bolt-action hunting rifle and the Classic Deluxe (CDL) trim of Remington's compact Model Seven. Built on the same cylindrical, twin-lug Model 700-derived action, the CDL pairs a 20-inch satin-blued barrel with a straight-comb American walnut stock featuring a black forend tip and fine cut checkering. Chambered in .260 Remington, it feeds from a four-round internal magazine with a hinged floorplate and weighs about 6.5 pounds, making it a lightweight, accurate rifle for deer and similar medium game.
The Model Seven debuted in 1983 as a compact, lightweight companion to the full-size Model 700, and the CDL grade dressed that trim little action in classic American walnut for hunters who wanted a handsome, packable rifle.
