About the Ruger Hawkeye Predator

The Ruger Hawkeye Predator is a bolt-action varmint and predator hunting rifle built on Ruger's M77 Hawkeye platform. Chambered here in .22-250 Remington, it pairs a medium-contour cold hammer-forged barrel with a Green Mountain laminate stock featuring removable spacers to adjust length of pull. Like the rest of the Hawkeye line it uses a non-rotating Mauser-type controlled-round-feed extractor, a three-position safety, an adjustable two-stage target trigger, integral scope mounts machined into the receiver, and a solid-steel hinged floorplate over an internal box magazine.

The Hawkeye Predator descends from the Ruger M77, originally designed in the late 1960s by L. James Sullivan and Harry Sefried under William B. Ruger to deliver Mauser-style controlled-round feeding in an affordable American sporting rifle. The Hawkeye refresh added the LC6 trigger and refined ergonomics, and the Predator configuration tailors the platform specifically for long-range varmint and predator hunting.
