About the Ruger PC Carbine Free-Float
The Ruger PC Carbine Free-Float is a semi-automatic blowback-operated pistol-caliber carbine chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, distinguished from the base PC Carbine by its CNC-milled, free-floating aluminum handguard with M-LOK slots on all four sides. It retains the takedown design, tungsten dead-blow action, and interchangeable Ruger/Glock magazine wells while adding a threaded, fluted barrel for suppressors and muzzle devices.
Ruger revived the PC Carbine nameplate in 2017, and in 2019 added free-floating M-LOK handguard variants to modernize the platform for optics, lights, and suppressor use, cementing its popularity as an affordable pistol-caliber carbine that shares magazines with common pistols.
