About the Unique Alpine TPG-1
The Unique Alpine TPG-1 (Taktisches Präzisions Gewehr-1, Tactical Precision Rifle-1) is an Austrian modular bolt-action sniper rifle designed for military and law enforcement applications. Built on an aluminum skeleton chassis, the TPG-1 features a quick-disassembly design that allows the rifle to be broken down into its major components for compact transport without losing zero upon reassembly. The three-lug bolt locks directly into the barrel extension for exceptional accuracy, and the quick-change barrel system allows conversion between calibers including .308 Winchester, .300 Winchester Magnum, and .338 Lapua Magnum. The rifle consistently achieves sub-0.5 MOA accuracy, with many examples shooting 0.25 MOA or better in .300 Winchester Magnum. The .338 Lapua Magnum configuration uses a longer 700mm barrel compared to the standard 650mm barrel for other chamberings.
The TPG-1 was designed from the ground up as a modular system that could adapt to any mission requirement through quick caliber changes and tool-free disassembly. Its Austrian origin places it in the same precision rifle tradition as the Steyr SSG 69 and SSG 08, but the TPG-1's unique chassis design and multi-caliber capability carved out its own niche among special operations forces seeking maximum versatility from a single sniper platform.

The TPG-1's modularity is its defining feature. The aluminum chassis skeleton allows the stock, forearm, and action to be quickly separated for transport in a compact case, and the rifle returns to zero upon reassembly. The three-lug bolt provides a 60-degree throw for rapid cycling. Available in seven calibers total including 5.56x45mm and specialized target chamberings. The rifle tips the scales at over 14 lbs (approximately 6.35 kg) empty, which contributes to excellent recoil management and stability. The TPG-1A improved variant adds enhanced ergonomics and attachment options.
