The Weatherby Mark V Weathermark is a bolt-action hunting rifle built around Weatherby's nine-lug Mark V action and finished for hard use in foul weather. It was the first Mark V model to feature a Cerakote-finished barreled action, applied in Tac Gray to resist corrosion in the harshest hunting conditions. The rifle pairs that weatherproof metalwork with a hand-laid, raised-comb Monte Carlo fiberglass stock featuring a matte gel-coat finish, spiderweb accents, and an aluminum bedding block for a rigid, consistent action fit. The Mark V action uses nine locking lugs and a fast 54-degree bolt throw, a Weatherby hallmark since the 1940s that allows the receiver and bolt to handle the high pressures of Weatherby's belted magnum cartridges.
