About the Winchester Model 1300 Marine

The Winchester Model 1300 Marine is a corrosion-resistant pump-action shotgun built for saltwater and coastal use. Chambered in 12 gauge with a 3-inch chamber, it pairs an 18-inch nickel-plated stainless barrel with a cylinder choke, an anodized aluminum-alloy receiver, and a rugged composite stock. The Model 1300 is noted for its fast, smooth twin-action-slide pump and rotating-bolt lockup, and the Marine model plates key components against salt corrosion for maritime and marine-patrol duty.

The Model 1300 evolved from the Winchester Model 1200 of the 1960s, retaining its rotating-bolt action while adding faster twin-action slide bars. Marine-finished pump guns became popular with coastal law enforcement and boaters for their resistance to the salt spray that quickly ruins ordinary blued steel.
