About the Baikal MP-155
The Baikal MP-155 is a Russian gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, produced by the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (part of the Kalashnikov Concern) since 2011. A successor to the MP-153, it uses an annular gas piston around the magazine tube with a self-adjusting gas system that cycles reliably with everything from light sporting loads to heavy 3-inch Magnum cartridges. It feeds from a tubular magazine, accepts interchangeable choke tubes, and is offered with a range of barrel lengths for hunting and clay-target use.
The MP-155 was developed as a refinement of the MP-153, lightening the action and adding a self-regulating gas system so the same gun could cycle light target loads and heavy Magnum hunting cartridges without manual adjustment.
