About the Pedersoli Kodiak Express Mk VI

The Pedersoli Kodiak Express Mk VI is an Italian percussion-cap muzzleloading double rifle built for close-cover big-game hunting. Its side-by-side barrels each carry an independent lock and trigger, letting the hunter fire two quick shots at driven wild boar or bear before the slow muzzle reload. Chambered here in .54 caliber, the Mk VI shortens the earlier Kodiak's barrels to 615 mm for faster handling, and pairs a walnut half-pistol-grip stock, engraved locks, adjustable leaf sights and a Ghost tang aperture sight over blued barrels.

The Kodiak name evokes the great Alaskan brown bear, marketing the rifle as a stopping arm for dangerous game. As a modern reproduction of mid-19th-century percussion express rifles, it lets black-powder hunters and re-enactors carry a genuine two-shot double in the field.
