About the Glock G35
The Glock G35 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W, produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H. since 1998. This Austrian-manufactured firearm reflects the engineering traditions and quality standards of its country of origin, designed to meet the demands of both civilian and professional users in a competitive global marketplace. Featuring a 15-round magazine capacity, this pistol offers generous firepower for duty use and home defense. The striker-fired action provides a consistent trigger pull for every shot, simplifying training and reducing the manual of arms - a design philosophy that has become the dominant paradigm in modern defensive handguns. The 5.3-inch barrel maximizes accuracy potential and ballistic performance, making this an excellent choice for target shooting, competition, or field use. Weighing 700g (24.7 oz) empty, this firearm strikes a practical balance between manageable carry weight and sufficient mass to moderate felt recoil during shooting. The polymer frame construction reduces weight while providing a textured, ergonomic grip surface designed for secure handling in all conditions. This firearm represents its manufacturer's commitment to delivering a well-engineered, reliable product that serves the needs of discerning shooters seeking quality, accuracy, and dependable performance from a proven platform.
In USPSA Limited division's heyday, the Glock 35 was the blue-collar competitor's weapon of choice. While many shooters spent thousands on custom 2011-style race guns, the G35 proved that a $600 factory pistol could finish on the podium. The 'Limited 10' subclass, which restricted magazine capacity, was where the G35 truly shone against competitors costing five times as much. When USPSA allowed 9mm Major in Carry Optics, the .40 S&W competition market declined, but the G35 remains a testament to the era when .40 caliber ruled the match circuit.

The G35 was the dominant pistol in USPSA Limited division during the 2000s and early 2010s, when .40 S&W was required to make Major power factor. The extended slide adds 18mm over the standard G22, providing a 192mm sight radius. Compatible with Glock 22 magazines (15 rounds standard, with 22-round extended options). The G35 can be converted to .357 SIG with a barrel swap. The model has been discontinued as competitive shooting has increasingly moved to 9mm platforms and the .40 S&W market has contracted.
