About the Heym 89B
The Heym 89B is a side-by-side double rifle built for dangerous-game hunting. It uses an Anson & Deeley boxlock action with a triple lockup (Purdey double underbite plus a Greener crossbolt), Krupp-steel hammer-forged barrels, automatic ejectors, and a made-to-measure European walnut stock. Chambered here in .470 Nitro Express, one of the classic African big-game cartridges, the 89B pairs two regulated barrels for a fast second shot on close, heavy quarry such as buffalo and elephant.
Double rifles like the 89B carry on the tradition of the British and Continental express rifles used by professional hunters in Africa and India, where an instantly available second barrel could be the difference between life and death against a charging animal.

Receivers are scaled in five frame sizes so each caliber gets a barrel profile balanced for proper 'weight between the hands'. The 89B is the boxlock counterpart to Heym's sidelock 88B. Offered in calibers from .300 Win Mag up to .577 NE, plus 20-gauge barrel sets.
