The Mossberg 940 Pro Waterfowl Realtree Legacy is a gas-operated semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun built for duck and goose hunting, offered in Realtree's Legacy camouflage pattern across the metal, stock, and forend. It is part of Mossberg's 940 platform, which uses a self-regulating gas system with nickel-boron-coated internals - including the gas piston, magazine tube, hammer, and sear - rated for up to 1,500 rounds between cleanings. The 28-inch vent-rib AccuChoke barrel ships with an extended X-Factor Modified waterfowl choke plus flush Full and Improved Cylinder tubes, topped by a HIVIZ CompSight fiber-optic front sight, and the receiver is cut for Shield RMSc-pattern micro red dot optics. Weather-resistant Cerakote metal surfaces and a self-draining synthetic stock and forend with adjustable length of pull (13 to 14.25 inches) and drop/cast shims round out a purpose-built waterfowl autoloader. The Realtree Legacy colorway was added to the line for 2026.
