The Remington Model 512 Sportmaster is a bolt-action .22 rimfire rifle produced from 1940 to 1962. Chambered to interchangeably fire .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle cartridges, it feeds from a tubular magazine beneath the barrel and mounts a one-piece hardwood stock. A staple of American plinking and small-game hunting, roughly 393,665 were made across its production run.

Part of Remington's economy .22 sporting line alongside the single-shot 510 Targetmaster and the box-magazine 511 Scoremaster, the 512 Sportmaster served generations of American shooters as an affordable, accurate rimfire for target practice, plinking, and small game.
