About the Cimarron 1875 Outlaw

The Cimarron 1875 Outlaw is a single-action revolver, a modern reproduction of the Remington Model 1875 Single Action Army manufactured in Italy by A. Uberti and imported by Cimarron Firearms. Chambered most commonly in .45 Colt, it features the distinctive Remington-pattern web beneath the barrel, a color case hardened frame, blued barrel and cylinder, one-piece walnut grip, and a six-round fluted cylinder. Popular with cowboy action shooters and collectors, it faithfully recreates the frontier six-shooter carried by figures such as Frank James and Texas Ranger Bill McDonald.

The original Remington Model 1875 was Remington's answer to the Colt Single Action Army, built on the frame of the earlier Remington 1858 cap-and-ball revolver. Its distinctive web of metal under the barrel gave it a look all its own, and it was famously carried by outlaw Frank James and lawman Bill McDonald. The Cimarron reproduction has appeared in Western films including Open Range, Broken Trail, and 3:10 to Yuma.
