About the Cimarron Frontier
The Cimarron Frontier is a single-action revolver, a faithful modern replica of the Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army produced for Cimarron Firearms by A. Uberti of Gardone Val Trompia, Italy. Chambered in .357 Magnum (and interchangeably .38 Special), it holds six rounds in a fluted cylinder loaded through a side loading gate and ejected via a spring-loaded ejector rod. It features a color case-hardened frame, blued barrel and cylinder, a one-piece walnut grip, and fixed sights. Offered in Pre-War (crossbolt) and Old Model (black-powder screw) frame styles, it is popular with cowboy action shooters and single-action enthusiasts.
The Colt 1873 Single Action Army that the Frontier replicates earned the nickname 'The Gun That Won the West' and served as the U.S. Army's standard sidearm for two decades. Cimarron's replicas are prized for their period-correct case coloring and are staples of Western films and cowboy action shooting.
