About the Pedersoli Scout Percussion
The Pedersoli Scout Percussion is a .50 caliber percussion muzzleloading rifle built by Italian black-powder maker Davide Pedersoli. Conceived as a compact, easy-handling carbine version of the classic Pennsylvania rifle, it pairs a 720 mm octagonal precision-rifled barrel with a color-casehardened percussion lock, brass furniture, walnut fullstock, and a double set trigger. The short overall length and roughly 2.8 kg weight make it well suited to bush hunting, young shooters, and target muzzleloading disciplines.
Davide Pedersoli of Gardone Val Trompia, in Italy's historic Brescia gunmaking valley, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of black-powder replica firearms. The Scout adapts the long Pennsylvania/Kentucky rifle pattern into a handier carbine for modern muzzleloading hunters.
