About the Feinwerkbau 2700
The Feinwerkbau Model 2700 is a single-shot bolt-action .22 LR smallbore match rifle built for ISSF 50m prone and three-position competition. Introduced in 2004 as successor to the Model 2602, it features an adjustable two-stage match trigger, aperture diopter sights, an anatomically adjustable cheekpiece and buttplate, and Feinwerkbau's signature internal sliding balance-weight system. It was offered with laminated-wood (Universal) and anodized-aluminium (Alu) stocks before being superseded by the Model 2800 around 2018.
Feinwerkbau entered gunmaking by accident: barred from metalwork in gun-town Oberndorf under post-WWII French occupation, the firm spent its first decade making precision parts and even an electromechanical calculator before its 1961 air rifle made it a target-shooting powerhouse.

Sources disagree on barrel length (686mm US Universal vs 670mm Alu platform) and weight (5.1-5.9kg by variant). In 2015 the barrel was standardized from 24mm to 22mm diameter, distinguishing early and late production. No conventional manual safety, as is typical for single-shot match rifles.
