About the Feinwerkbau 2800 W
The Feinwerkbau 2800 W is a single-shot bolt-action .22 LR smallbore match rifle built for ISSF 50m prone and three-position competition. The wood-stock version of the 2800 line that succeeded the Model 2700 around 2018, it combines a nutwood or laminated-wood stock with aluminium-stock adjustability, featuring what Feinwerkbau calls the shortest bolt throw in its match range, an adjustable 60-150g two-stage match trigger, aperture diopter sights, and anatomically adjustable cheekpiece and buttplate.
Feinwerkbau entered gunmaking by accident: barred from metalwork in gun-town Oberndorf under post-WWII French occupation, the firm spent its first decade making precision parts before its 1961 air rifle made it a target-shooting powerhouse whose smallbore rifles equip Olympic and World Cup competitors.
