About the Remington Model 1900

The Remington Model 1900 is an American side-by-side double-barrel, hammerless boxlock shotgun produced from 1900 to 1910 as a lower-priced version of the Model 1894. Chambered in 12 and 16 gauge, it used a top-lever break-open action with double triggers and was offered with either Remington fluid-steel or Damascus barrels across four grades.

Introduced in 1900 as an economy sibling to Remington's Model 1894 hammerless double, the Model 1900 brought a solid boxlock side-by-side within reach of working hunters. Nearly 100,000 were sold in a single decade, making it a common sight in early 20th-century American fields.
